Bella commedia, brillante e sofisticata, del 1986. Fortunatamente, Allen
si lascia influenzare largamente da Bergman (Fanny e Alexander in
particolare), e quel che ne scaturisce è dunque un film allo stesso tempo
profondo e leggero, gaio ed esistenzialista, che mette in scena una
girandola di personaggi e situazioni che ruotano attorno alla borghesia e
alla bohème newyorkese. Alcuni repentini cambi di fronte, poco credibili
dal punto di vista del climax non adeguatamente preparato, sono il
sacrificio offerto ad una fluidità narrativa che ha lo scopo di mantenere
unite e amalgamate sfaccettature tanto diversificate.

Caine, Mia Farrow, Max von Sydow, etc. etc.

Non è che detto in inglese risulti più convincente.
Pare sempre una cosa molto superficiale.
Al massimo potremmo dire che la scansione temporale del racconto introduce
una componente parodica, o semiparodica.
Volendo ignorare che non sono gli unici tre film scanditi su più ricorrenze
famigliari...
Se poi si vuole sottolineare l'importanza che Bergman riveste per il cinema
di Allen, allora sì.
