Ho risolto da solo e se a qualcuno dovesse servire indico i vari passaggi:

giovamento, per il file server.conf, da queste specifiche:
Every machine with a LAN behind it must have IP forwarding enabled. In
this example that means the server, and client1/client2.
The user needed the following in his server.conf:
route 10.10.1.0 255.255.255.0
route 10.10.3.0 255.255.255.0
push "route 10.10.2.0 255.255.255.0"
push "route 10.10.1.0 255.255.255.0"
push "route 10.10.3.0 255.255.255.0"
client-to-client
Ovviamente ho sostituito la route con il range di ip che vengono
assegnati ai client remoti ovvero 10.8.0.0 e il push con il range della
lan ovvero 192.168.1.0
Morale della favola non avevo inserito la route dal server vpn verso gli
ip della lan tant'è che quando avviavo il client openvpn ricevevo nei
log proprio un errore di route che non avevo notato verso la classe di
ip della mia lan !
Che figata openvpn ora bisognerà capire come installarlo su android
quindi sul Galaxy S2 ! :D
