Premessa... qualche anno fa l'ex W.A.S.P. Randy Piper era nella cacca,
scoppiatissimo e senza alcuna credibilità.
Chris Laney, da fan degli W.A.S.P., si è "unito" ai suoi Animal,
producendoli, scrivendo praticamente tutti i pezzi assieme al cantante
Rich Lewis, curando le parti di chitarra assieme a uomini di fiducia
(sembra che Randy, sull'ottimo Virus, abbia suonato appena un paio di
assoli), trovandogli un contratto... in pratica ridandogli un minimo di
credibilità.
L'anno scorso, però, Chris si è rotto della situazione ed è uscito dagli
Animal.
Randy, sempre assieme a Lewis, ha quindi fondato una nuova band, Where
Angels Suffer (fate caso all'acronimo! :-D) e si è lanciato subito nella
pubblicazione di un nuovo album. Che però....

W.A.S. – Where Angels Suffer tried to release an album October 31st that
they called Purgatory and wich they promoted as an album with new songs
by the members in Where Angels Suffer. This information is not correct!
All recordings on Purgatory where taken straight off from two albums by
Randy Piper´s Animal called Virus (released in 2008) and Violent New
Breed (released in 2006). The master-recordings on both albums are owned
by producer Chris Laney. The Worldwide license-rights on both albums are
owned by us, Deaf and Dumb Music AB. The recordlabel that had signed
Where Angels Suffer in the belief they were about to release new
recordings have now stopped all commercialisation on the bogus album
Purgatory due to copyright infringement. Where Angels Suffer are
informed they are not allowed to violate the law by selling the bootleg
at their shows.
Unfortunately some reviews where published on Purgatory by reporters
that believed they where reviewing an album with new songs and by
members in Where Angels Suffer, thus the wrong persons have been
credited. The only members in Where Angels Suffer that occurs on those
recordings are singer Rich Lewis and guitarist Randy Piper.
To set things straight we want to point out who played on those
recordings by Randy Piper´s Animal and who wrote the songs so the
correct persons are credited.
On the songs taken from VIRUS the following persons play on the
recordings: Chris Laney, Nalle Påhlsson, Johan Koleberg, Anders Ringman,
Rich Lewis and Randy Piper
On the songs taken from VIOLENT NEW BREED the following persons play on
the recordings: Chris Laney, Johan Koleberg, Anders Ringman, Joakim
Bloom, Randy Piper and Rich Lewis
